Woman Charged After 2 Dogs Found Dead In Chicago Apartment

(CBS) — A 22-year-old Chicago woman is accused of cruelty to animals after two dead dogs were found in a Lakeview apartment almost a week ago.

The building is in the 500 block of West Belmont.

Police say a maintenance man at that building went into an apartment last Friday and found two dogs that had died.

And police say the dogs had apparently been neglected.

Charged with cruelty to animals and failure to perform animal ownership duties — both misdemeanors — is 22-year-old Christina Laskero.
