(CBS) — There have been a number of disturbances with injuries at Oak Street and North Avenue beaches Monday afternoon, the Chicago Fire Deapartment says.
Most of the injuries on Memorial Day involve cuts from broken glass and alcohol consumption, authorities say.
A fire department spokesperson says at least six people have been taken to hospitals in separate incidents.
Meantime, police officers on ATVs and bicycles are patrolling North Avenue Beach.
