CHICAGO (CBS) — It was perhaps the most dramatic moment so far in the World Series–Addison Russell’s grand slam that blew Game 6 open for the Cubs.
But what happened to the ball?
It turns out it ended up in the hands of a Cub fan.
Joe Wright posted on Facebook that a ball boy gave it to him after a fan threw it back on the field.
Wright told CBS 2 he his keeping it for his sons.
“My grandpa was a die-hard, my dad was a die-hard, both have passed. This is for my two sons.”
