CHICAGO (CBS) — A 56-year-old man was shot Saturday in Woodlawn.
Witnesses said they saw the victim in a physical altercation with another man when they heard a gunshot, according to police. The shooting occurred in the 6600 block of South Kenwood Avenue before 4 p.m.
The man suffered from a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Area Central detectives are investigating. No one is in custody.
