(CBS) The White Sox continued their quest to sell off veteran parts Tuesday evening, agreeing to deal reliever Anthony Swarzak for another prospect, according to reports.
The 31-year-old Swarzak has a 2.23 ERA in 41 appearances this season.
In return, the White Sox were set to receive 25-year-old outfielder Ryan Cordell, according to CSN Chicago’s Dan Hayes. An 11th-round pick in 2013, Cordell is hitting .284 with 10 homers, 45 RBIs and an .855 OPS in 68 games at Triple-A this season.
