CHICAGO (CBS) — Illinois State Police (ISP) officials are investigating Friday a shooting which occured Friday around noon on the Eisenhower Expressway westbound at Harlem Avenue.
ISP Troopers responded Friday to reports of shots fired at I-290 west bound at Harlem Avenue.
One victim is reported injured from the shooting, according to Illinois state police. The victim was taken to a local hospital. The victim’s condition is unknown at this time. There is no additional information.
All westbound lanes of I-290 at Harlem is closed for investigation. Motorists are encouraged to take another route.
Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has any knowledge of the shooting is asked to call ISP at 847-294-4400. Callers have the option to remain anonymous.
